Individual Therapy
I work with teens (16+) and adults, and am skilled in both brief and longer-term therapy models. Let’s discuss what length of treatment matches your needs and wants. I currently offer therapy in-person in Oakland and via Zoom to clients located anywhere in California.
Clinical Supervision
I have many years of experience providing supervision to psychology practicum students, interns, post-doctoral fellows, and MFT and MSW associates, and am very familiar with CA supervision and licensing requirements.
Please reach out to learn more about supervision with me.
Many clients come to therapy having identified something(s) in their lives that is causing distress or interfering with their goals. These may be undesired thoughts or feelings, and/or stressful life circumstances.
My approach to therapy is a thoughtful synthesis of my academic training, 15+ years of clinical practice, and lived experience. I will be an active, empowering, and genuine participant in your treatment, and you can expect to deepen self-knowledge, make new meaning of experiences, and practice healthy alternatives to patterns of thinking and behavior that no long serve you. My approach to therapy is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and integrated with other behavioral and relational approaches tailored to the client’s needs. Having spent much of my career in integrated healthcare settings, I often consult and collaborate with a client’s other medical or mental health care providers, e.g., primary care doctor, psychiatrist, specialist.

For more than 15 years, I have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient medical and mental health settings, in the public and private sectors. I have worn different hats as a psychologist, including therapist, group facilitator, consultant, clinical supervisor, and researcher. I have specialized training and experience supporting individuals adjusting to medical diagnoses and/or seeking behavioral support for the management of medical conditions. I am also a Perinatal Mental Health Certified Therapist (PMH-C), supporting clients during the transformative and sometimes challenging phases of family planning, pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Brown University and my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in health psychology at Yeshiva University. My internship and post-doctoral training in the VA healthcare system focused on behavioral medicine, integrated primary care, and rehabilitation psychology.
